Xaviera Martinez Vertiz

Xaviera was born on May 25th, in Mexico City.

The strong passion for photography arises back when Xaviera was a child.  Her fascination goes beyond words; she has the idea that with a push a button you can stop and freeze a moment and turn it into a picture that will last forever.

In 2007, she moved to Miami. where she continued studying and  graduated from Photo Art Academy specializing in photography techniques and professional photography. 

Later, in 2009 she did a course specialization in night photography in London.

In the early stages of her career, Xaviera mainly focused in portrait photography.  She loved to capture the face expressions of people, which were almost a story telling composition. Soon after she explored every possible area in photography like social events, family portraits, street photography etc. and even thought she loved every aspect of it, she was still searching for the real call to focus her career on.

It was after exploring, studying and above all, experience and hard work, that she realized that nothing could capture her attention more than «Nature and Landscape photography». Her real passion came afloat and this drove her to take different workshops around the world in every kind of settings and scenery you could imagine.  She had the amazing opportunity to photograph animals and nature in places like South Africa, Iceland, Egypt, Mexico, and lots of national parks worldwide.

In 2013 and 2014 Xaviera was invited to expose her work at Biscayne Art House.

Through out the development and down the path her photography has taken her, Xaviera has grown as a person both spiritually and intellectually. The direct contact with nature, the feelings express among animals and their environment have certainly enrich who she is.

She cannot wait to find out where this journey will take her next.
